NDS vs PSP

The handheld gaming scene here in the Philippines is dominated by PSP users... unlike most countries, here NDS users are the minority... While i was browsing into a local webforum called Davaosale and stumbled upon a PSP vs NDS thread and thus the birth of this blog...

The verdict? Its all up to you, really...

PSP = a monster considering its hardware and looks... it has good looking games.. but if you have a ps2 its pretty much same experience...its an ok multimedia device... why ok? because it can't compete to any high-end portable media players like the IPOD.. the reason is that PSP is always criticized for its battery life and here in the PHIL. where games are stored in memory cards we dont want to waste precious mem. space and battery life on other stuffs aside form gaming... also games in the PSP are enormous that you'd feel like maximizing disk space is a life and death situation...

NDS = Many say its for the kids, but hey its what gaming is all about... Nintedo is all about the experience... Wii or the NDS offers a gaming experice unlike others... this is why they are outselling their competitors... the NDS games are new and really fun to play.. with their touch screen and mic feature possibilities seemed endless and they can cover lots of genre like FPS, Puzzle/Edutainment Adventure, Strategy games and much more (where a mouse is necessary)... using the stylus and touchscreen feature makes your life a whole lot easier and playing this type of games on the ps will only frustrate you.. also games on the DS is quite small in size it ranges from 8mb - 128mb you can easily squeeze in more or less 20 games in your 1gig memory...

Bottom line:

Comparing these two consoles doesnt make any sense they're both very different considering each consoles capabilities, strength and weaknes... Both offer a different feel when it comes to the overall experience... it's like comparing boxers againts briefs... both are underwears but are really different and some guys just preffer one againts the other.

Personally i prefer the DS because of their games.. DS exclusives tends to have higher review ratings(by respected gaming websites) and games like super mario, mario kart, zelda, contra and etc gives you that nostalgic feel. I mean these are the games that i grew up with. Games that exist on both consoles on the other hand tends to have lower ratings on the NDS due its hardware limitations.. The NDS is inferior to PSP in terms of graphics but has enough features to outsell its competitor..

Lamaw

Hi guys welcome to my BLOG if you wonder why I tagged my BLOG as “lamaw” let me first define to you what “lamaw” is... From where I am (Davao City, Philippines) “lamaw” is a local term for a mixture of anything edible that is used as pig food... it is usually from excess food and it can be anything… It is generally composed of soup, meat, rice, noodles, drinks (juice, coke, coffee and so on...) desert (ice cream, cakes, pastries an do on..) fruits, fruit peelings, vegetables and vegetable peelings (this is based on what I saw on “lamaws” through out my life)... though all of these things are needn't to be present to consider one as “lamaw”. I think “lamaw” can be a combination of at least two things but there is a rule behind this: as long as the two doesn’t go together then where Ok… Let me give you an example based on the things I mentioned above… You can’t consider meat and rice or soup/meat and veggies as “lamaw” because these things go together… Uhm…. I think I can consider soup and cake or ice cream and meat as “lamaw” because these things are simply not for each other unless some sort of super iron chef will combine them together and produce a tasty treat!
Now that you know what is a “lamaw” lets now answer the question why I named my BLOG as such… Well, now i guess it's pretty obvous, I’m pretty sure this will be a “themeless” BLOG most of its future entries are not connected to each other and will come from a random thought on things or experiences I had or my current mood or things that im currently doing or planning or whatever… see!? It’s like “lamaw” and the name it fits perfectly for my BLOG... So there you have it!
